Coronado “will continue with the supreme objective of developing ecosocialism as a fundamental strategic line of our revolutionary process for the preservation of the environment,” Rodriguez specified via her social media accounts.

The acting president took the opportunity to express her gratitude to Ricardo Molina for his “praiseworthy work” and the dedication shown during his tenure leading the Ministry of Ecosocialism.

Regarding Escalona, Rodriguez detailed that “his loyalty, capability and commitment will move forward the monitoring of the development plans of our Bolivarian Government alongside the people. We will always move forward!”

On Monday, Jan. 5, Delcy Rodriguez formally assumed the role of Venezuelan acting president, in accordance with provisions established by the Bolivarian Constitution’s Article 335.

Her designation guarantees institutional continuity and the comprehensive defense of the nation following the kidnapping of President Nicolas Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores during a U.S. military action deployed on Jan. 3.

During her swearing-in, conducted by Parliament President Jorge Rodriguez, the acting president stated her commitment to maintaining Venezuela as a free, sovereign, and independent nation.

She has urged the population to maintain trust in the Bolivarian Revolution’s political direction, emphasizing that every decision, even those that may be complex to understand, follows strategic planning in the face of the adversary.

Rodriguez ratified that the absolute unity of the Venezuelan nation is the pillar of the current battle, asserting that the country possesses a “moral and historical superiority” that serves as inspiration for national resistance.
